can anyone tell me what that part is on the left side of the motor with the belt around it and the wire coming off it?

thats an electric motor setup to run the water pump

Exactly, notice that there is no belt driving the water pump pulley other than the one connected to the motor

yeah i never had an electric water pump, now that i look at it, it makes sense.

Ive never seen an electric like that either, my first guess was gonna be a vacuum pump also lol

youll see alot of drag cars at the track like that. more or less an old school electric water pump setup. i would imagine the idea behind it is primarily to be able to circulate the coolant in the pits.

Yeah its not for street use! Haha drag only. Like joe sed only to cool the car off in the pits. They only run the pump at like 1700 rpm.
