my friend used to do that and said that it just got to be too much money he ended up putting about 800 bucks into his car and it was a lot less advanced than them. idk you do bring up a good point that they are both hobbies and to be fair their's seems to be a lot more practical than ours in terms of how they don't need to garage, winterize, and can drive their cars anytime or anywhere they want plus they can just pick it up and take it somewhere lol
